Moab 1/2 Marathon

Well I did it. I finished in 2 1/2 hours. I wish I could have done better-but what can you do.
I always get so nervous every time I do a race. It doesn't matter what the length is, my nerves get the best of me. For some reason I always do worse in the race than just regular training. It must be psychological. Who knows???

After my sidewalk accident with a concussion and stitches, I really was doubting myself. Thank heavens Carrie was there-she helped me keep going. It was a scenic race and awesome weather.
I am determined to do another but have a better time!!!

Paige came and took care of Carrie's baby Brody. He was so good for her and Paige really does well with little kids. I always hated babysitting:( We drove through Arches National Park(Paiges idea), and it was beautiful. Although about half way through Paige lost cell phone reception and had a panic attack. I think she would die if she didn't have contact with her friends 24/7.

We ate lots of pasta, and had some good girl time. I seriously have taken naprs everyday and been asleep by 9 pm every night since. It took a lot out of me, but I am ready for a new goal. Any suggestions???

Half a marathon is a huge accomplishment! Congrats. I'm like you, the night before my race (I've only been in one race) I was totally nervous and I think it drained me. As for a suggestion for your next event I recommend a m_________n I'll let you guess.
You're awesome!
